I love finding and sharing new recipes.  I have been pushing this newfound delight on anyone who will consider experiencing it.  My parents first tried it at a restaurant in Downtown Disney and adored it.  My mom asked for the recipe, and the rest is history.  This is an easy, healthy, absolutely scrumptious dip fabulous with veggie strips or pita bread.

Muhammara

16 oz. roasted red pepper
1 1/2 cups toasted walnuts
8 cloves garlic
1/4 C pomegranate molasses (found at Persian or Arabic markets or on Amazon)
1/4 t allspice
1/4 t cumin
1 pinch paprika
3/4 C olive oil
1 pinch salt
1/4 C red wine vinegar (omit this if you don’t want it too, um, vinegary?)

Blend it all in a food processor till smooth. Enjoy!

Drought weights the trees, and from the farmhouse eaves
The locust, pulse-beat of the summer day,
Throbs; and the lane, that shambles under leaves
Limp with the heat–a league of rutty way –
Is lost in dust; and sultry scents of hay
Breathe from the panting meadows heaped with sheaves.
